The Red Cross is a globally renowned humanitarian organisation, yet its history and founder are seldom linked to Geneva. To mark World Red Cross Day, C-Matrix developed a communication strategy centred on events and media relations to enhance the visibility of the Red Cross Movement and its partners, including the International Red Cross Centre, the Geneva Red Cross, and the International Federation of the Red Cross.
Key objectives
The goal was to increase awareness of the Red Cross among the people of Geneva through a unique event that emphasised the organisation’s values. At the same time, volunteers and employees were actively involved to foster a stronger sense of belonging to the organisation.
Approach
C-Matrix was commissioned by the Red Cross to design a concept for a cultural event that would leave a lasting impression while remaining within the organisation’s budget. Additional responsibilities included securing partnerships, developing an artistic concept, and crafting a comprehensive communication.
Result
C-Matrix collaborated with the Red Cross Committee to create a cohesive and impactful event. Artistic partnerships were established with local organisations and a world-renowned artist. Additionally, a communication plan was developed and executed over six months, leveraging various communication channels across the city and canton of Geneva.
