Le Rolliet.

A development project was initiated by the Canton of Geneva in the municipality of Plan-les-Ouates. Known as Le Rolliet, the project includes the construction of 1,000 homes and the creation of a vibrant neighbourhood centred on diversity and sustainability. Le Rolliet brings together a range of stakeholders, including the Canton of Geneva, the City of Geneva, constructors, and developers. C-Matrix is tasked with communication planning and coordinating stakeholders to align them around a shared vision.

Key objectives

Establishing communication that is tailored to the various target groups (current residents, future residents, authorities, stakeholders from associations), taking into account the current societal and environmental challenges affecting the construction sector in Geneva.

Developing a brand identity around Le Rolliet that inspires confidence and enables a positive visual language to be created around this new district in order to gain the approval of the target groups.

Approach

The C-Matrix team was commissioned by a committee representing various interest groups, including the Canton of Geneva, the municipality of Plan-les-Ouates, and property owners, to develop a targeted and actionable communication plan and coordinate stakeholder statements.

Their responsibilities included conducting interviews, performing research, and designing an online and offline communication strategy tailored to the various stages of this significant project. Additionally, they moderated meetings to ensure stakeholders aligned with a shared vision.

Continuous media monitoring was carried out to identify potential resistance to the overarching development project, of which Le Rolliet is a part.

Result

Collaborative development between the C-Matrix team and stakeholders:

Development of a communication plan utilising multiple channels to inform residents, local actors, and institutions while fostering a positive image of the new district.
