Development Focus Seewen-Schwyz.

Once one of Switzerland’s largest armories, the Seewen-Schwyz Armory has been unused by the military since 2004. In 2017, the municipality of Schwyz acquired the site under building law. Since then, a usage and development plan has established the legal framework for transforming the 4.4-hectare area into a diverse, mixed-use space, combining commercial, service, and cultural facilities, limited residential units, and public amenities. The project aims to create 700 high-value jobs on-site. The final milestone is now implementing the complex infrastructure needed to unlock the area’s full potential.

C-Matrix has partnered with the municipality since spring 2024, providing strategic communication support. This includes conceptual work, public engagement, media relations, and preparing materials for events like town hall meetings.

“C-Matrix excels at tailoring communication to meet the needs of our community while respecting local dynamics. Beyond their professional expertise, they’ve proven to be a reliable partner on a human level. ”

Stephan Deuber, Head of Construction, Municipality of Schwyz
